Effective: 27 August 2026 · Last updated: 27 August 2026
The short version
We run a style quiz. You answer questions, we work out which looks suit you, and we show you clothes we sell.
We never ask for your name or your email to take the quiz. You can do the whole thing without telling us who you are.
We do not accept photographs of you, and we do not do face recognition or any other biometric analysis. Not now, and not as a feature we are holding back — the product is built so that it cannot.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising platforms. No hashed emails, no matching you to an ad profile, no retargeting.
We apply the same high-privacy protections to everyone, rather than trying to work out who is under 18. Nobody gets a lesser version.
We honour Global Privacy Control everywhere, not just where the law requires it.
The rest of this page is the detail.
What we collect
When you take the quiz — no account, no name, no email
What Why
Your answers To calculate your result. This is the whole product
How long you spent on each question To find questions that are confusing or badly worded, so we can fix them
Anything you type into a feedback box Because we asked, and because it is the only way we learn what the options were missing
Your device type, screen size, browser and approximate location (city-level, from your IP address) To make the site work on your device, and to know which regions our visitors are in
We do not ask who you are at this stage and we would rather not know. Your answers are stored against a random session identifier, not against you.
One thing worth being direct about: if you type your name, your email or anything else personal into a free-text feedback box, we will have it, because you gave it to us. Please don't — there is nothing we need it for.
When you buy something
To take an order we need your name, email address, delivery address, and phone number if the carrier requires one.
We never see or store your full card number. Payment is handled by our payment processor; we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card.
When you email us or sign up for emails
Your email address, and whatever you write to us.
What we never collect
This list is short and we intend to keep it that way.
Photographs of you. There is no photo upload and no camera access.
Face geometry, faceprints, voiceprints, fingerprints or any other biometric identifier. No facial analysis of any kind, for any purpose.
Body measurements. Sizes are whatever you tell us they are. We never infer anything about your body from your taste in clothes, or the other way round.
Health information, or any inference about your gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnicity.
On that last point, because a style quiz is exactly where you would expect it: the quiz asks which clothes you would actually wear. That is a question about a wardrobe, not a question about you. We use it to decide which garments to show you and for nothing else. We do not record it as a statement about your gender or your identity, we do not build a profile from it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who we share information with
We are a small business and we use other companies to run parts of it. Each of these receives only what it needs.
Who What they get What for
Shopify Your order and delivery details, and your payment details Running the store, taking payment, processing the order
Cloudflare Your IP address and request data · your quiz answers, timing data and feedback text Serving the website, blocking attacks, and storing your quiz data
Our suppliers — BrandsGateway, Trendsi Your name and delivery address Shipping your order to you
That is the whole list. We do not use a separate analytics company, a separate email-marketing company, or a separate database company. Your quiz answers never leave Cloudflare; your order never leaves Shopify and the supplier who ships it.
Advertising — what we deliberately do not do
We do not send your email address, hashed or otherwise, to Meta, TikTok or any other advertising platform. We do not build retargeting audiences, we do not create lookalike audiences from our customers, and we do not let an ad platform match you to a profile it already holds.
This is a deliberate choice and it costs us something. It means we can see how many people bought, but not reliably which advertisement brought them. We decided that was the right trade, because the alternative was either tracking everyone or trying to guess who is under 18 — and we did not want to do either.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
Your choices
Tracking
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out and we honour it wherever you are, not only in states that require it. You do not have to do anything else.
There is no cookie banner, because there is nothing to ask you about. The quiz loads no third-party scripts at all — no analytics tag, no advertising pixel, no session recorder. Measured, not assumed: a full page load of the quiz makes thirteen requests and every one of them is to our own server.
We do not load any non-essential tag anywhere — not in California, not anywhere.
Delete your quiz data — one click
There is a "delete my quiz data" button in the footer and on your results page. No email, no form, no waiting on us.
See, correct or delete anything else
Email support@upmyvibe.app. Tell us what you want and we will do it. We extend these rights to everyone, not only to residents of states that grant them, because running two systems is how mistakes happen.
We will need enough information to be confident it is your data — usually the email address on your order. We will not ask you for identity documents.
Unsubscribe
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and it works. You will still get emails about an order you have placed.
How long we keep things
Quiz answers and timing data 12 months, then deleted
Feedback text 12 months, then deleted
Order records 7 years — tax and accounting law requires this
Email subscription Until you unsubscribe
We do not keep anything indefinitely.
Younger visitors, and why there is no age question
We do not ask your age, and that is deliberate.
A style quiz that spreads by sharing will reach teenagers. We could have put a box at the front asking you to confirm you are 18 — but a box like that is trivially ignored, it would tell us nothing true, and it would mean building a lesser version of the site for some people and a more invasive one for everybody else.
So we did the other thing: we apply the strongest privacy protections we have to every single person, whatever their age. That means no advertising profile, no tracking you across other websites, no account, and nothing collected that we do not need to calculate your result.
We also do not use face scanning or photo analysis to guess anyone's age. We do not accept photographs at all, and we never will — that is a locked decision, not a current setting.
This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email support@upmyvibe.app and we will delete it.
What we record while you take the quiz
Your answers, and how long each question takes you. The timing is used to calculate your result and to find questions that are confusing or badly written — nothing else. It is not used to build a profile of you and it does not go to any advertiser.
Security
We use encryption in transit, we limit who on our side can see what, and we do not store card numbers.
No one can promise perfect security and we are not going to. What we can say is that the most sensitive thing most people will ever give us is a delivery address, because the quiz itself is designed not to need anything.
Where your information goes
We are in the United States and your information is processed there. Some of our suppliers and service providers are elsewhere, including in the EU and Asia, so your delivery details may be sent to a supplier abroad in order to ship your order.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If we change it in a way that affects what we do with information we already hold, we will say so clearly rather than quietly reissuing the page.
